Forest Quatrefoil is a leaded glass wallpaper in green. Deep forest petals held in bronze came, amber jewels at every junction, and a palette that sits closer to a conservatory than a cathedral.
The design
The petals shade from a bright leaf green at the tips to a near black bottle green at the base, streaked and variable throughout. Bronze leading traces every outline and forms the lattice. Amber squares at the crossings read as warm light coming through. Green and bronze is a quieter combination than red or blue with the same metal, so this version is the most livable of the set across a whole room.
Works best in
Studies, bars, dining rooms and a powder room. Green holds up under long exposure better than the hotter colors, which matters in a room you work in.
Style notes
Walnut or oak, antique brass, and leather in cognac or oxblood. Wool in moss, rust or cream. A brass desk lamp with a green glass shade is on the nose and entirely correct. Trim in a deep bronze. Plants read beautifully against this wall. Warm light throughout.
