Pastel with a plan. Lilac Check is a lilac checkered wallpaper that sets soft purple squares against white in a clean checkerboard, catching that Danish-design sweet spot where playful and precise share a border. It reads young without reading childish, a rarer trick than it sounds, and a useful one for rooms in transition.

The design

A geometric checkerboard in soft lilac and white squares. Even grid, gentle Danish-pastel palette, crisp and light overall. There is enough color in the lilac squares to pattern the wall without crowding it, and the white keeps the grid crisp. Across a room it softens into a pale purple haze, while up close the checkerboard snaps back into focus. Morning light keeps it cool and fresh, and warm bulbs soften it further.
