Every deco cinema had a curtain worth staring at before the lights went down. Malachite Marquee is the wallpaper version: gilded leaf fans stacked in a strict diamond lattice on deep malachite green.
The design
Gold leaf fans rise through a diamond lattice on layered malachite greens, drawn with metallic edges and velvet depth. Sixteen fan columns cross an 8 foot wall, six inches to a repeat.
Works best in
Dining rooms, powder rooms, bedrooms, lounges, and any room with a drinks tray.
Style notes
Full gilded deco. Pair it with walnut, brass, smoked glass, and velvet in emerald or cream. Candlelight and picture lamps wake the gold up. Trim painted the same deep green turns the whole wall into one deliberate move.
