A picnic cloth, a market apron, a kitchen you'd trust with the family recipe: gingham has always meant welcome. Market Gingham checks soft cream, taupe, and sage into a gentle grid that reads farmhouse without a hint of costume. Warm, orderly, and easy to live beside.

The design

A classic gingham check in cream, taupe, and sage. Soft-edged and even, with a woven warmth that keeps the grid gentle. Depending on the light, the sage and taupe trade places, one warming forward at midday, the other by evening. From across the kitchen the check reads as soft neutral order, and nothing about it asks to be noticed twice. The soft edges keep the grid from ever going graphic, which is the difference between apron and uniform.

Style notes

Farmhouse by lineage, though the palette keeps it closer to quiet Provence. Scrubbed pine, stoneware, worn brass, and plain cotton cafe curtains belong here without discussion.
