Some walls want to stand up a little straighter. Mod Block is a mid century stripe wallpaper that runs vertical color-block bands in teal, beige, cream and ink, capped with softly curved shapes, and the whole room seems to gain a little ceiling. Retro in reference, architectural in effect.
The design
Mid century vertical stripes in teal, beige, cream and ink with gently rounded caps. Clean geometry, warm palette, tailored proportions. The ink lines pull the eye upward while the teal and beige alternate the weight, which is where the extra ceiling comes from. At distance the wall reads as architecture, and up close the rounded caps soften the whole composition. Daylight and lamplight both leave it composed.
Works best in
Living rooms, hallways, creative studios, home offices, kids rooms and any wall that could use better posture.
Style notes
Retro color blocking with an architect's posture. It pairs with pale oak, slim black frames, cognac leather and natural canvas.
