A manor library's garden, borrowed for your walls. Nouveau Garden layers full ivory chrysanthemums over deep teal and forest-green foliage, painted with the weight and richness of an old storybook plate. Rooms wearing it feel curated, slightly mysterious, and somehow warmer at night.
The design
Full ivory chrysanthemum blooms over layered teal and forest-green foliage. Dense, classic floral artwork with deep tonal shadows and vintage character. The ivory blooms gather the light and float forward, while the teal and green foliage stacks into real depth behind them. Distance reads as generous old-world floral, and proximity turns up the brushwork in every petal. In the evening the greens go nearly black and the flowers seem to store the daylight for later.
Works best in
Dining rooms, studies, bedrooms, powder rooms, and any fireplace wall with literary ambitions.
Style notes
Manor-house floral tradition with Art Nouveau bones, romantic but upright. Dark wood answers it best, with aged gold accents, leather chairs, and heavy linen in cream. In a study it reads well-read, and in a dining room it does the occasion-making before the food even arrives. Firelight was practically in the brief.
