Not quite a color, more of a weather. Putty Wash is a neutral gray limewash wallpaper that carries the soft mottled depth of limewashed plaster in gray-beige, giving walls the quiet variation of something aged gracefully over decades. Minimalists get their calm. Everyone else gets a backdrop that flatters whatever stands in front of it.
The design
A limewash-effect wash in soft gray-beige with subtle tonal movement. No pattern to speak of, only gentle mineral texture and depth. From a few steps back it reads as a single considered color, and the mottling only surfaces as you approach. That slow reveal is the whole trick, giving a flat wall the depth of old, well-worn plaster. It shifts with the day too, cooler at noon, warmer and shadowier by lamplight.
