The design
A washed, denim-textured floral in deep rose tones, with blooms softened into the ground like well-loved fabric. Dark, tonal, and warm. The blooms rise out of the ground slowly, more shadow than outline, so the wall reads as a wash of deep rose before it reads as floral. Distance blurs it into one mellow expanse of rose, while proximity brings the faded pattern back. Lamplight is its best hour, when the rose deepens toward wine.
Works best in
Bedrooms, bathrooms, cottage entries, snug dens, and reading chairs with a cardigan nearby.
Style notes
Faded romance in the key of worn workwear. It keeps company with dark walnut, iron bed frames, unpolished brass, and linen in oatmeal or rust. Trim in warm white gives it air, while deep burgundy trim tucks the whole room in. Best in a bedroom or den, anywhere the evening's plan is staying put.
