Navigation, as decor. Starboard charts a bold star motif in navy and cream, geometric and sure of its heading, with a deco crispness that keeps the nautical from tipping into theme. It's the rare pattern that manages to feel maritime and metropolitan in the same breath.
The design
A bold repeating star pattern in deep navy and cream. Clean Art Deco geometry with strong two-tone contrast and steady rhythm. The cream stars hold their edges against the navy at any distance, which keeps the rhythm steady from doorway to doormat. In bright rooms it reads crisp and maritime, and in low light the navy deepens until the stars seem to keep watch.

Style notes
Nautical by birth, Deco by education. It squares nicely with white oak, polished chrome, rope and canvas tones, and a runner with a stripe that means business. Navy trim makes it shipshape, cream trim opens the deck, and it keeps its bearings beside brass hooks and dropped keys alike. Use it in a bathroom or entry hall where a firm sense of direction is welcome before coffee.
