Teal Silhouette is the coolest wallpaper in this family. A black damask medallion sits on a deep teal that leans green in daylight and blue after dark, and the shift is noticeable enough that the room changes character in the evening.
The design
The linked ogee frame and central rosette are identical to the other silhouettes, but teal handles black differently than the warm grounds do. Here the contrast feels clean and slightly cold, closer to lacquer than to textile. Fine mottling in the ground reads as aged plaster. Across a full wall the pattern settles into a steady grid that is calming rather than demanding.
Works best in
Bedrooms, powder rooms, dining rooms and a home office. Cool saturated walls are restful in rooms meant for sleeping, where a warm color can feel activating.
Style notes
Black or dark walnut furniture with brass, or nickel if you want to stay cool throughout. Bedding in white, bone or a soft gray. One brass lamp keeps the scheme from going clinical. Trim in the same teal. Avoid anything orange, which fights the ground rather than complementing it.
